Showcasing History

The marine industry relies on Write Stuff’s outstanding reputation as the definitive publisher of nautical company history books. The United States Navy Supply Corps wanted Write Stuff to capture its storied history of more than 200 years. These extraordinary men and women have ensured that the Navy is always “Ready for Sea.”

In more than a century, no researcher had been allowed to conduct research within the sensitive company archives of General Dynamics’ Electric Boat Division. Write Stuff was trusted to examine those company archives to create Serving the Silent Service: The Legend of Electric Boat, winning accolades from employees, executives, and the media. The author signed books for nearly 9,000 grateful company employees as a way to say “thanks” for their dedicated years of service.

Write Stuff has also published company history books on other internationally recognized marine companies, such as Chris-Craft, Mercury Marine, Evinrude-Johnson (OMC), Bertram Yacht, and Sea Ray. We would welcome an opportunity to produce a company history book for you as well.

“Given [Jeff’s] track record, and the discreet method he used to conduct research, we were comfortable that [Write Stuff’s] approach was appropriate in the high-security environment of a nuclear submarine shipyard. [Write Stuff] didn’t let us down.”

The Legend of Electric Boat is laying on my coffee table in our downstairs library in resplendent glory. I’m so pleased to have it and am absolutely delighted with how it has turned out.”
